GENUINE GI ISSUE GORE-TEX® ECWCS PARKA. The Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) is the ultimate in military clothing. The Gore-Tex® parka is the outermost layer of the ECWCS. The parka features three layers of Gore-Tex® fabric with an outer layer of 2.8oz. abrasion resistant taslan nylon, the middle layer is the Gore-Tex® membrane, and the third and innermost layer is nylon tricot membrane as well as an additional unlaminated nylon 'hung' liner that provides a fourth layer of protection inside. All seams are fully sealed with Gore-Seam tape. When used with the pants listed below, you will stay dry in the worst of storms. In addition to the Gore-Tex® the parka also features: Attached "Cobra" hood that fits over combat helmet. Double-pull non freezing zipper with storm flap. Drawstring at hem and on the storm/snow skirt inside. Two slash breast pockets pockets. Flap covered pocket on the left sleeve. Two slant cargo pockets. Armpit ventilation zippers. Velcro adjustable sleeve cuffs. Double reinforced elbows. Badge or insignia holder. Generously oversized to fit over layers of clothing.
