Had these in my boots for over a year. They held together, and looked really cool. They tend to make the boot fit only slightly looser, though, but it works well for style and easy removal. The leather did develop some subtle cracks in it after a year of wear and tear, but they still held the boot together. I may actually buy another pair, come to think of it...
